Woman in coma somehow manages to ‘Check-in’ at Ysbyty Gwynedd on Facebook

A comatose woman has amazed doctors by taking to Facebook to ‘check-in’ at Ysbyty Gwynedd, we can report.

Melanie Owen was seemingly unresponsive yet her Facebook friends were updated with respect to her whereabouts almost instantly.

Dr Ivan Schwelk told us, ‘It’s quite amazing. You would think that if somebody was not just gravely ill, but hospitalised, that the last thing on their mind would be to update their social media. Yet, somehow, in some way, our patient has miraculously informed her online friends that she was in hospital.’

‘What is even more remarkable is that after having many friends asking and commenting that they hope she’s okay, she then found the strength to comment back ‘Thanks hun’.’

The brave patient recovered so well the day after she even updated her status again saying, ‘You know who your friends are when you need them… and the ones who aren’t 🤬’.
