High street bong shop recession proof

A high street shop that mainly sells bongs has proven it can survive any recession, we can confirm.

The Jon Bong Jovi shop at the top of the high street has ploughed through three UK recessions and an ever quieter town centre, yet the bongs continue to fly out.

Owner Dom told us, ‘We work hard. We open at midday, so I have to make sure I’m up for that, 3 days a week sometimes. I have a great rapport with the customer, sometimes we’ll sit and chat for several hours.’

‘It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and sometimes a customer might even nod off when we’re chatting, we think it’s that vibe that keeps us in business. That and we have a vending machine by the exit, which does well.’

The shop also sells a few Bob Marley bucket hats, a sword and T-shirts with ‘Adi-hash’ on them.
