Liverpool man still insists he needs £2 for the bus home

A man in the centre of the city of Liverpool has reiterated that he does still need £2 for a bus home.

The 43 year old man says he’s been asking high street shoppers for years but nobody seems to believe him, he told us, ‘I just need two quid for the bus home like. I ask people near the cavern club ‘cos it’s near the bus stops yet I feel like people think I have an ulterior motive.’

‘I really don’t know what they think I’m going to spend it on, it’s just a bus fare home, mate.’

Despite inflation the man has kept his asking price the same for nearly 20 years, ‘I think it's a very fair and reasonable asking price but you’d swear I was asking for a load of drugs or sumit. I simply want to get home.’
