Margaret Thatcher’s ghost defects from Tory party

The ghost of the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has joined a host of Tory MPs in leaving the doomed Conservative Party, we can reveal.

Whilst some are standing down, Thatcher’s ghost has decided to defect to the Reform party, news which has pleased its members.

Slack jawed Nigel Farage said, ‘We are pleased to welcome the ghost of Mrs Thatcher to our party. She will be a great haunting presence over our voters and her spirit will no doubt be a major influence on our policies.’

One Tory MP admitted, ‘This is a devastating blow for us. We all still talk with her morbid soul in morning meetings about tax and the “bastard unions”, as she likes to call them. And the comments she made about the recent spate of small boats were quite lively and brilliantly racist.’

‘We have instructed Jabob Rees-Mogg to have some time off as her ghoul defects.’
