Conwy council to clamp the disabled

Conwy council are set to clamp the disabled in ‘clampdown’ on illegal parking, we can reveal.

The controversial move will be brought in for summertime so that areas of excessive footfall, don’t get clogged up.

Councillor Jeff Frung told us, ‘Last year was particularly bad for wheelchair activity clogging up towns such as Llandudno and Conwy itself.’

‘If we start clamping them then they’ll soon understand that you can’t just stop your wheels and park willy nilly. Simply pay the fine and the clamps will be removed from the wheelchair.’

Last week Olympian and famous Wheelchair user Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson was furious as she was clamped waiting at a traffic light, she told us, ‘I was used as a fucking example.’
