Caernarfon man wins life changing Huws Gray hat

Congratulations were in order in Caernarfon today as a man won a hat he can now wear forever.

Dilwyn, 43, has never been able to get his hands on the much sought after hat so put his name down on a raffle and low and behold, his life has been changed forever.

He told us, ‘I’m still in shock. I often wondered what it would be like to have one but never thought it could happen to me. I’ve seen lads wearing them for as long as I can remember. I always felt envious of them and their lives. I see people with hats and how they are treated by other lads, it’s something I’ve always dreamed of.’

Dilwyn and his wife intend to celebrate by going out for a nice meal at the Wetherspoons curry night while Dilwyn wears the hat, ‘I’m looking forward to seeing friends and families' reaction to the hat, hopefully they won’t treat me any differently. My brother will no doubt ask for a lend of it but once it’s on my head that’s it, forever.’
