Pope’s last wish is to watch Showgirls

The Pope has decreed his last wish to finally watch the 90’s movie Showgirls, we can reveal.

The Holy Father has been critically ill and reports suggest he may be regretting his life choices, namely: not taking any notice of the famous Elizabeth Berkley film about strippers, when it came out.

A source close to the Pontiff said, ‘He’s finally admitted he wants to see the movie. We all told him when we had it on VHS in 1995 that he needed to watch it, but he just wasn’t having it.’

‘Fair play he was very dedicated, he turned his nose up at Basic Instinct as well which you have to admire, that’s why he got the top job.’

‘But soon as he went into critical care he whispered to his PA, ‘I want Showgirls’. You can’t blame the guy. Underrated film in my opinion.’
