Couple buy plant but no agreement on whom will water it

A couple have bought a house plant but as yet have agreed to who will water it, we can reveal.

Tina and David Cod bought the exotic plant at their local garden centre on the weekend, innocently presuming the other person will water it.

Tina said, ‘Well it was me who said that it would look nice in the living room so it should be him that keeps it alive.’

‘Am I supposed to sort out all the aesthetics in the house AND look after them?’

While bewildered David said, ‘I feel I’ve been duped here.’

‘I wasn’t interested in the plant, never have been and never will be. I simply agreed that having it. It will rot before I water it, believe me.’

By the time we went to press, the plant had died.
